Something’s will never change
Here’s a thought about tradition, and its role in society.
I come from a country that is ridden with tradition, everywhere you look there’s tradition. I came to a country that is relatively new and where tradition does not play such a big role. People here are more open to new ideas, to doing things differently from the way they’ve always seen done before. In other words, innovation, not tradition is the rule here. Whereas in Portugal I felt constrained by tradition, here I feel liberated by innovation. People are not afraid to try out and fail.
